Anastasia & Sean
9.2.23
I started my career like most planners do, by helping out family and friends! Although I wasn't hired to be a planner (rather asked to be the maid of honor!) this was the first wedding I ever really helped with.
For this specific wedding I mainly helped with design and décor sourcing, and creating a planning timeline (as well as being support for my bestie, the bride) rather than any full service planning or coordination.
Anna, Sean, and I all met and became very close friends at summer camp, which is also where their big day was held! This was one of the most amazing, intimate, and purposeful weddings I have ever been to. Everything chosen was so meaningful to the couple, from the venue, to the guests, to the family who helped bring the event together. This wedding helped me to realize not only my love for meaningful, intimate, stress-free weddings, but also showed me the amazing way family and friends can come together and create a beautiful day.
Some of my favorite parts of the Larson's big day:
a beautiful first look with private vows
dodgeball reception!
a private first dance for the couple
cabins available for the guests
a private ice cream after party for the couple!
signed corn hole board auction
the color palette!!!!
There were also some amazing things about this venue that made it so special! It was the place that Anna and Sean met and spent their summers each year. It was the place their relationship with each other, and Christ, flourished. It was a place not meant for weddings, but was transformed into the most beautiful space (despite the building intended to be used as the reception hall burning down only one month prior.) The way the space and the guests helped capture the beautiful love the couple had for each other is something I will never forget.
